The Desk, Dhaka:

The people, who will come to Dhaka on December 29 at the call of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, will have to flee the city waging their tails like the Hefazat-e-Islami men.

Bangladesher Workers Party president and Post and Telecommunications Minister Rashed Khan Menon said this at a discussion meeting here on Friday.

Jubo Moitree and Chhatra Moitree organized the discussion on "Victory Day and Young Generation's Responsibility" at its party office here.

Chaired by Chhatra Moitree President Bappa Dipto Basu, the discussion was addressed, among others, by politburo members of the party Nur Ahmed and Dipankar Saha Dipu.

"People do not respond positively to calls for hartal and road blockade by Leader of the Opposition Begum Zia," the minister said.

He said BNP-Jamaat combine is trying to create a constitutional crisis by enforcing hartal and road blockade across the country.

"Activists of BNP-Jamaat are torching and vandalizing motor vehicles to panic among the people," Menon said.

Jubo Moitree General Secretary Sabbah Ali and general secretary of Chhatra Moitree Tanveer Rushmot also addressed the meeting while Jubo Moitree leader Sayeed Hossain conducted it.

The minister urged the young generation to resist Jamaat-Shibir like in 1971.
